The Albanian word lulishte means something smaller and more local than a park: a planted square with paths, benches and mature trees, laid between apartment blocks rather than set apart from the city.

It is not a sight, and no visitor should cross town for it. Its use is to anyone lodging out this way, or walking towards Tanners' Bridge and the Dajti road, as somewhere shaded to stop. The larger green spaces, the Grand Park to the south and Rinia in the middle, are what a short visit should prioritise.
