Tirana Accommodation
Where to Stay in Tirana
Hotels, apartments, hostels and guest houses across Blloku, the centre and the quieter streets towards the Grand Park.
Almost everything a visitor needs in Tirana sits inside a walkable core, so where you stay matters less here than in a spread-out city. Blloku is the liveliest base, surrounded by restaurants and bars, and correspondingly the noisiest at weekends. The blocks around Skanderbeg Square put you next to the museums and the bazaar, with the bus and airport connections closest.
Apartments dominate the mid-range and are usually the best value for stays over two nights. Hostels are numerous and genuinely good, a legacy of Albania's backpacking boom. The streets towards the Grand Park are quieter and still ten minutes from the centre on foot.
