Things to Do in Tirana
Walking tours of the communist city, food tours of the bazaar, and day trips to Kruja, Berat and the mountains.
Most of what visitors book in Tirana is a walk or a drive. Walking tours are the strongest product because the city's story is legible on foot: Skanderbeg Square, the Pyramid, Blloku and the bunkers sit close enough to link in a couple of hours, and a guide who lived through the period changes what you see.
Food tours work the same way around Pazari i Ri. Beyond the city, the day-trip market is large: Kruja and its castle bazaar is the short option, Berat with its Ottoman houses the classic full day, and the Dajti cable car the easiest half day of all.
