Live music in Tirana runs on a small number of committed venues rather than a circuit. Jazz has the steadiest following, with a couple of rooms programming several nights a week and drawing players from across the Balkans. Rock and indie bars sit in and around Blloku, usually free entry with a band from around ten.

The most distinctive thing to look for is iso-polyphony, the multi-part unaccompanied singing from southern Albania that UNESCO lists as intangible heritage. Some restaurants stage it for visitors, but a handful of venues programme it properly. Listings move week to week, so check social media rather than a printed schedule.
