Tirana Nightclubs

Clubbing in Tirana starts very late. Bars hold the crowd until well past midnight and the clubs only fill after that, running until four or five and sometimes past dawn at weekends. Music is mostly house and commercial dance, with Albanian pop and turbo-folk nights drawing the biggest local crowds.

The smaller venues sit inside Blloku itself, often in basements under the bars. The larger ones are on the edge of the centre and towards the ring road, where the space exists for a proper floor and a sound system. Entry is often free before a certain hour, with a cover afterwards.
