New Irish Pub has been trading in the Blloku since 2005 as a classic alehouse: the black stuff on draught alongside Kilkenny, and a bottle list that reaches Aug…New Irish Pub has been trading in the Blloku since 2005 as a classic alehouse: the black stuff on draught alongside Kilkenny, and a bottle list that reaches Augustiner, La Trappe and Rochefort, with Irish whiskeys and cocktails behind them. The kitchen does the expected fish and chips, shepherd's pie and beef stew, plus burgers, pinsas and a vegetarian line.

The programme is the reason to choose it over the district's other bars: quiz on Mondays, karaoke on Tuesdays, stand-up comedy on Wednesdays, live bands on Thursdays and DJs across the weekend, with private parties in between. Flags, posters and photographs cover the walls, there is a smoking area and outdoor seating, and entry is for over twenty-ones.
