Tirana Wine bars

Albania has been making wine for a very long time and is only now selling it seriously to visitors. Tirana's wine bars are where you can taste the domestic side of that without driving to a vineyard: Berat and Korca in the south, the Shkodra hills in the north, and indigenous grapes such as Shesh i Bardhe, Shesh i Zi and Kallmet that grow nowhere else in quantity.

Most of these rooms sit in or just off Blloku and pour by the glass, usually with cheese and cured meat from the same regions. Several run tastings if you ask a day ahead.
