This section is deliberately short. Tirana has the full range of businesses any capital does, but a visitor directory has no reason to list the ones a resident uses, so only two categories sit here.
Money exchange matters because the lek is a closed currency you cannot buy before arriving, and because Albania still runs substantially on cash outside the larger hotels and restaurants. Laundries matter because most visitors are passing through on a longer Balkan trip and Tirana is the natural place to reset. Both are cheap, both are central, and both are easier to find than the guidebooks suggest.
