Tirana Hotels

Tirana's hotels divide into three groups. International chains and tower hotels sit on and around the main boulevard, aimed at business travellers and priced accordingly. A large middle band of independent four-star hotels fills the streets between Skanderbeg Square and Blloku, which is where most visitors end up and where the value is best.

The third group is small and design-led, a handful of converted buildings in and near Blloku with twenty or thirty rooms. Rates hold fairly steady through the year, with a lift in late spring and September rather than a coastal-style summer peak, and breakfast is normally included.
