Tirana Pizzerias
Pizzerias in Tirana
Pizza in Tirana is closer to the Neapolitan original than to anything further north, a direct consequence of how much of the city has lived and worked in Italy. Wood-fired ovens are the norm rather than a selling point, and a margherita is priced as everyday food.
The densest run sits in Blloku, where pizzerias stay open past midnight and double as bars. Tirana e Re and the streets off Rruga e Kavajes hold the neighbourhood places, generally larger, cheaper and busier with families. Most deliver across the city, and many will do a takeaway box at the counter without a wait.
